Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Technician to join our team at IHG Hotels & Resorts. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial kitchen equipment, refrigeration systems, and HVAC equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Equipment Installation and Repair

Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial kitchen appliances, refrigeration equipment, and HVAC systems, including walk-in coolers, steamers, convection ovens, dishwashers, and exhaust hoods.

Preventative Maintenance

Perform regular preventative maintenance inspections of refrigeration units, HVAC systems, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.

Repair and Maintenance

Repair and maintain semi-hermetic reciprocating compressors, centrifugal compressors, and other equipment components, including thermostats, automatic switches, fan controls, and safety valves.

Electrical Maintenance

Perform skilled electrical maintenance repair, installation, and alteration of HVAC equipment, components, timers, motors, and wiring systems as needed.

Record Keeping

Maintain accurate records of time, labor, and materials used for repairs and maintenance, and provide reports as required.

Pool Maintenance

Ensure pool chemical levels are in accordance with legislative requirements and perform regular maintenance tasks, including backwashing and super chlorination.

Plant Room Maintenance

Ensure plant rooms are clean, well-maintained, and in operating order.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment, refrigeration systems, and HVAC equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Physical stamina to lift and move heavy equipment and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
