Group Financial Director

The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the accounting and financial operations of an Abu Dhabi Capital Group subsidiary.
This includes:
- Preparing the company's financial statements according to IFRS standards.
- Delivering timely and accurate financial reports to support business decisions.
- Coordinating the year-end audit process and interacting with internal and external auditors.
- Overseeing the month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Managing tax planning, reporting, and filing, and interacting with relevant tax authorities.
- Maintaining the accounting system to ensure proper record-keeping of company transactions.
- Collaborating with the CFO to ensure accurate capture and reporting of financial activities.
- Supervising and mentoring accounting staff to foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Streamlining financial processes and systems to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Providing insights and recommendations to senior management to support strategic decision-making.
- Analyzing financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Establishing and maintaining robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Preparing yearly budgets and analyzing variances to the budget on a monthly basis.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- MBA is preferred.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CA (Chartered Accountant) certification is required.
- Commitment to continuing professional development and learning.
- Fluency in English is a must, with excellent written and oral communication skills. Arabic language skills are a plus.
Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience in a family office, large holding, or Sports Team.
- UAE experience is mandatory.
- Must have experience in Group Consolidation.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with financial software and ERP systems is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in controlling and/or accounting, both within and outside the GCC region.
