About the Role:

Mackenzie Jones is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager-Media Relations to join our team in Dubai. As a UAE National, you will be responsible for managing communications with local, regional, and international media to position Dubai as a leading economy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the Media Office, providing a 'best-in-class' 24/7 service to the media, ensuring timely delivery of information and effective response to media enquiries.
  2. Oversee the Online Media Centre, maintaining up-to-date content and targeting it to the correct profile/platform.
  3. Develop a Media Relations Strategy at the local and regional level, working closely with the Director of Communications to build relationships with local and regional media and develop creative campaigns promoting Dubai.
  4. Collaborate with Overseas Offices to develop a Media Relations Strategy for their market, ensuring alignment with the Head Office Media Relations Strategy and delivery against strategic objectives.
  5. Utilize in-house and agency resources to create all media content, including key messaging documents, press releases, articles, images, reactive statements, Q&As, speeches, and spokespeople briefings.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Media, Journalism, PR, or related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory position.
  • Experience in agency or in-house, with knowledge in tourism/destination marketing advantageous.
  • Existing relationships with key local and regional media (Arabic and English).
  • Exceptional Arabic and English writing and spoken communication skills.
