Job Summary
The VMC Machine Operator plays a crucial role in measuring components to ensure proper fitment in the final design, identifying potential problems by understanding machine specifications and drawings before production. As part of the team, this individual must adhere to HSE standards and corporate policies approved by the Corporate Office.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Operate computer numerical control (CNC) machines, maintaining quality and safety standards, recording results, and managing equipment and supplies.
  2. Program and operate three-axis machines (X, Y, Z).
  3. Create programs using MasterCAM or similar software.
  4. Manage Fanuc and Siemens controls.
  5. Familiarize yourself with VMC Machines (3-axis & 4-axis).
  6. Troubleshoot VMC machines for daily minor issues.
  7. Translate instructions into machine commands to perform correct functions.
  8. Measure components to ensure proper fitment in the final design.
  9. Inspect finished products, comparing them with requirements to determine if the process was completed correctly.
  10. Identify potential problems by analyzing machine specifications and drawings.
  11. Manufacture metal components and assemble them to construct tools, machinery, and machine components.
  12. Maintain safe operation of machines without damaging them.
  13. Take accurate measurements.

Requirements

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent education level.
  2. Stress-resistant.
  3. Good verbal communication skills (English desirable).
  4. Creative, critical, and curious.
