Financial Reporting and Budgeting Specialist

Job Purpose:

Support the Financial reporting and budgeting team at Aldar Properties PJSC for efficient and effective monthly financial recording, management, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Review and process journal entries in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to ensure accuracy and relevancy.
  2. Review development progress invoices and payment certificates to process in the ERP.
  3. Ensure complete documentation and coordinate with relevant authorities to release payments from the Escrow account.
  4. Provide support to the supervisor during month-end closing.
  5. Handle Inter-Entity transactions and ensure monthly balances are reconciled with each relevant Inter-Entity.
  6. Monitor and analyze the General Ledger of the parent Entity to identify and transfer data to the relevant Entity.
  7. Perform GL account analysis to ensure accuracy of balances in the proper GL account.
  8. Track project shareholder loan transactions and account for them according to agreement terms.
  9. Collaborate with the Project team to collect, analyze, and interpret data and provide support with the status of financial information.
  10. Liaise with the Accounts Payable team to ensure project expenses are properly booked on a timely basis.
  11. Liaise with the external auditor and provide requested information.
  12. Keep track of the development progress of the project.

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in accounting.

Professional accounting qualification, such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), Certified Accountant (CA), or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), is preferred.

Related Year of Experience:

YOE in Managerial Position: Minimum of 4+ years of experience in Financial and management accounting.

Technical and Interpersonal Skills:

  1. Knowledge of and ability to apply international accounting standards.
  2. Ability to adapt to policies and adhere to internal controls.
  3. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  4. Ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
  5. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  6. Proficiency in using Oracle ERP.

Field of Experience:

Knowledge and ability to apply International Accounting Standards. Real Estate industry experience is considered a plus but not mandatory.
