We are seeking a highly experienced Resident Engineer/Project Manager to lead our industrial construction projects. This role requires exceptional project management skills, strong leadership, and the ability to ensure successful project delivery, on-time completion, and adherence to budget and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:

    • Develop and implement project management plans, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
    • Prepare and review project schedules, contractor reports, and mitigation strategies.
    • Provide cost and risk analyses, and effectively manage scope of work changes.

  • Site Supervision & Quality Assurance:

    • Supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications.
    • Monitor progress against the construction schedule, review contractor reports, and conduct inspections to ensure quality standards are met.

  • Stakeholder Coordination:

    • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and authorities.
    • Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to clients and stakeholders.
    • Negotiate and approve deviations from construction materials and procedures with stakeholders.

  • Contract Administration:

    • Review and approve contractor payment applications, variation claims, and close-out documents.
    • Resolve discrepancies or problems arising from field operations or contract documents.
    • Assist with contractor claim analysis and recommendations.

  • Team Management:

    • Lead and manage construction teams, ensuring clear communication and effective task delegation.
    • Provide guidance and training to team members to achieve project objectives.

  • Reporting & Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records, including progress reports, cost estimates, and pay quantity calculations.
    • Prepare detailed client reports on project progress and status.

  • Risk & Issue Resolution:

    • Analyze and resolve project issues, ensuring engineering and construction standards are maintained.
    • Review and comment on contractor schedules, developing strategies to keep the project on track.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience, with significant experience as a Resident Engineer or Project Manager, preferably in industrial construction projects.
  • At least 5+ years of expertise in project management.
