Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in environmental services, Operating Room protocols, and familiarity with anesthesia apparatus

Preferred:

  • Experience with Cell Saver and Platelet Sequestration is advantageous
  • At least 3 years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting, hospitality, or as anesthesia technicians is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Cell Saver and Platelet Sequestration is beneficial

Key Responsibilities

  • The Lead Anesthesia Technician will manage the daily operations and activities of the Anesthesia Technicians across the facility, ensuring the procurement and availability of necessary anesthesia supplies and equipment.
  • This role involves collaboration with Anesthesia leadership to optimize patient care and hospital services.
  • Will develop staff schedules according to hospital needs and ensure timely payroll processing for all Anesthesia Technicians.
  • Accountable for daily operations including task assignments, recruitment in partnership with the Director/Manager, and staff training.
  • Ensures cleanliness and organization of all equipment handled by staff.
  • Works in conjunction with biomedical and Operating Room equipment technicians for the proper maintenance, cleaning, and storage of all equipment.
  • Reviews expenditures and operational costs in collaboration with the Director/Manager.
  • Assists in evaluating new products to enhance patient care quality and manage costs effectively.
