About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Irrigation Systems Engineer to join our team at Reliance Career Opportunities. As an Irrigation Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and managing irrigation systems for various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Planning: Develop irrigation system designs based on project requirements, soil conditions, and water availability. Create detailed plans, schematics, and technical specifications for irrigation systems. Conduct site assessments to evaluate irrigation needs and determine appropriate system designs.
  • System Installation and Maintenance: Manage the installation of irrigation systems, including sprinklers, drip lines, pumps, and valves. Oversee the installation and integration of Netafim irrigation systems, including automation components and climate control technology. Ensure proper calibration and testing of systems to achieve optimal performance. Monitor system performance and, if necessary, maintain and repair systems as needed.
  • Project Management: Manage irrigation projects from conception through to completion, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality standards. Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other professionals to ensure project success. Prepare and review project documentation, including contracts, reports, and progress updates. Implement safety protocols and procedures to protect personnel and equipment during installation and maintenance.
  • Water Management: Analyze water usage data to optimize irrigation efficiency and minimize waste. Implement water conservation techniques and technologies to promote sustainable water use. Stay informed about advancements in irrigation technology and best practices.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or diploma in Agricultural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in designing, installing, and managing irrigation systems.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of irrigation technologies, water management practices, and sustainable solutions. Proficiency in relevant software and tools for irrigation design and management. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to perform physical tasks associated with system installation and maintenance.
  • Working Conditions: The role may require occasional travel to project sites. Flexible hours may be necessary to meet project deadlines or address urgent issues.
