Fleet Superintendent Job Description

As a Fleet Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of our vessel operations. Your primary goal will be to ensure that all vessels operate safely and efficiently while meeting the required standards and regulations. You will work closely with the Fleet Manager to develop and implement effective strategies for maintaining the highest level of safety and efficiency in vessel operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the technical management of assigned vessels to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Develop and implement strategies for improving vessel performance and reducing costs.
  • Work closely with the Fleet Manager to identify and mitigate potential risks and hazards.
  • Monitor vessel performance trends and take corrective action when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with the Fleet Cell to coordinate information for the preparation of vessels' running cost budget.
  • Discuss work plans, running costs, spares, and stores situation with Ships' Command.
