The role of an Electrical Compliance Specialist is to verify that electrical systems and installations within construction projects adhere to applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations. This position is vital for ensuring the integrity and safety of electrical work, mitigating hazards, and guaranteeing the functionality and dependability of electrical systems.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations of electrical systems, installations, and apparatus to confirm alignment with project specifications, codes, and standards.
  • Ensure that electrical tasks are executed in accordance with sanctioned plans, specifications, and industry benchmarks.
  • Compile detailed inspection documentation, encompassing findings, deficiencies, and suggestions for corrective measures.
  • Maintain precise records of inspections, tests, and other quality assurance activities.
  • Ascertain that all electrical installations conform to pertinent local, national, and international codes and regulations.
  • Stay informed about updates in electrical codes and standards, applying this knowledge during inspections.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate seamless project execution.
  • Participate in project meetings, offering insights on electrical inspection and quality assurance matters.
  • Identify and address challenges related to electrical installations and quality assurance.
  • Provide technical advice and support to contractors and project teams to rectify noncompliance issues.
  • Guarantee that all electrical work complies with safety standards and protocols to minimize risks.
  • Encourage a culture of safety and quality within the project team and among contractors.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical inspection, with a robust background in design consulting firms.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Demonstrated experience in inspecting and testing electrical systems in large-scale projects.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Proficient in utilizing inspection tools and equipment.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
