Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join our team in the UAE/GCC region.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, engineering, and commissioning auxiliary and miscellaneous systems for power plants and substations.

This is a challenging opportunity for a professional with a strong technical background and previous experience in power plant and substation engineering.

Responsibilities
  • Develop design specifications, drawings, and technical documents for auxiliary and miscellaneous systems in power plants and substations.
  • Conduct engineering calculations, LVAC / DC System load calculations, LV Cable sizing calculations, MV Cable sizing.
  • Ensure compliance with international standards (IEC, IEEE, ASME, NFPA, etc.) and Toshiba's engineering guidelines.
  • Review vendor proposals, technical submittals, and material approvals to ensure technical compatibility and compliance with project requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • A minimum of 11+ years of relevant experience in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects, specifically in power plants, substations, and transmission systems in the GCC/UAE.
  • Strong technical background and previous hands-on site experience.
  • Experienced in vendor management, site supervision, and project coordination.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and coordinate with international teams.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites across the MENA region as required.
