About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Sustainability Consultant to join our team at Asterix Communications. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our clients in the Middle East region with their environmental and waste management needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sustainable waste management strategies and plans for our clients
  • Conduct environmental impact assessments and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with our clients to identify and develop opportunities for waste reduction and recycling
  • Provide technical expertise and support to our clients on environmental permitting and planning
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies and industry partners
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in environmental sustainability and waste management, and apply this knowledge to our clients' projects
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field
  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in solid waste management, including strategies for waste minimization, recycling, and solid waste logistics
  • Experience in countries with evolved environmental regulatory and legislative structures
  • Strong understanding of sustainability credit systems and KPIs
  • Ability to review architectural drawings and provide design input
  • Experience in supporting the development of ESIAs in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Understanding of environmental regulations across key Middle East markets such as KSA, UAE, and Qatar
