Job Opportunity: Advanced Process Control Engineer

Leap29 is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Process Control Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of Advanced Process Control (APC) systems for a large international oil company.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and support APC systems on-site or remotely
  2. Develop and deploy multivariable predictive controllers for upstream oil and gas wells
  3. Design and configure APC systems, including Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and APC-DCS connections
  4. Provide training and support to customers on APC systems and Honeywell HAPC programming
  5. Collaborate with the project team to design, install, and commission APC systems
  6. Develop and maintain project documentation for APC implementation
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in Advanced Process Control

Requirements:

  • Qualifications in Electrical Engineering or Process Control
  • Experience with programming control logic using Honeywell HAPC
  • Deep knowledge of Dynamic Constraint Control as it applies to Advanced Process Control upstream oil and gas wells
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
