Key Responsibilities
  • Cost Estimation: Develop detailed cost estimates by analyzing project specifications, understanding the scope of work, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure all cost elements are considered.
  • Bid Preparation: Collaborate with bid managers and other stakeholders to develop competitive bid proposals, ensuring all estimates are accurate, comprehensive, and align with client requirements.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, pricing structures, and competitor activities, evaluating historical data and industry benchmarks to inform cost estimation strategies.
  • Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination: Obtain and evaluate quotes from vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing, negotiating terms with suppliers to optimize cost efficiency.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and present detailed bid proposals to senior management for approval, maintaining accurate records of all estimates, bids, and related documents.

  • Continuous Improvement: Review and refine estimating processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency, participating in post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cost estimation, preferably within the facilities management industry.
  • Strong understanding of facilities management services, including maintenance, cleaning, security, and technical services.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
