Job Title: Supermarket Purchaser

Job Type: Full-time

We are a leading supermarket chain, Recooty, with a strong presence in the market, seeking an experienced Supermarket Purchaser to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the supermarket industry and be able to source products at the best possible price while ensuring timely delivery of products.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Product Sourcing: Identify new suppliers and products for our supermarkets, ensuring a diverse and competitive range of offerings.
  2. Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best possible price and payment terms, while maintaining strong relationships with key partners.
  3. Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels, minimizing waste and excess stock.
  4. Collaboration with Sales Team: Work closely with the sales team to ensure that the supermarket is well-stocked and meets customer demand, driving sales and revenue growth.
  5. Purchase Order Management: Review purchase orders and ensure that all orders are fulfilled according to the agreed-upon terms, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  6. Market Analysis: Track and analyze sales trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and increased profitability, staying ahead of market trends.
  7. Supplier Relationship Management: Manage relationships with suppliers and ensure timely delivery of products, maintaining a high level of service quality.
  8. Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date with market trends and industry developments to ensure that the supermarket is offering competitive products and pricing, driving business growth.
  9. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the store management team to ensure that the supermarket meets customer needs and expectations, delivering exceptional customer service.
Requirements:
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing in the supermarket industry.
  3. Skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills, knowledge of inventory management and supply chain processes, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  4. Language: Fluency in English and Arabic is essential.
  5. Location: Must be based in Abu Dhabi and have a valid UAE driver's license.
