About the Position:
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge propulsion systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless design-to-production transitions. You will be responsible for designing and optimizing advanced propulsion systems, incorporating advanced materials, thermal management, and energy storage technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Design and Development:
- Lead the design and optimization of next-generation hybrid propulsion systems, focusing on hybrid, electric, and alternative fuel technologies.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and execute testing protocols for prototype engines and new propulsion architectures.
- Technical Leadership and Mentorship:
- Mentor junior engineers in advanced propulsion system design and optimization techniques.
- Conduct peer reviews of designs, simulations, and testing protocols to ensure high engineering standards are maintained.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
- Research and Innovation:
- Take ownership of advanced research in emerging propulsion technologies, staying at the forefront of propulsion engineering.
- Explore and integrate cutting-edge technologies that have the potential to revolutionize the industry.
- Collaborate with external research organizations and industry experts to gain insights into new developments.
Qualifications:
- Master's or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field, with a focus on propulsion, thermodynamics, or fluid dynamics.
- At least 8-12 years of experience in propulsion systems engineering, with a proven track record in designing, developing, and optimizing propulsion technologies.
- Strong experience with simulation and design tools (e.g., CFD, CAD, FEA, and multi-physics modeling tools) to develop and optimize engine systems.
