Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Technician to join our team at Global Pharma Tek. As a key member of our Cardiac Cath Lab, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitoring and Data Analysis: Monitor patients' blood pressures and inform physicians of any changes from baseline. Record pressures in all chambers requested by physicians and maintain a complete record of all events occurring during a procedure.
  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Calibrate and operate equipment during procedures, including A-Vox, Cardiac Output, and ACT. Replenish supplies in the lab as necessary and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Emergency Response and Patient Care: Assist in emergency situations by performing resuscitation measures, including operating a defibrillator and performing artificial resuscitation. Monitor the intra-aortic balloon pump during procedures and stay with patients until they are in the CCU, OR, or CSICU.
  • Technology and Procedure Updates: Learn and apply new technology and procedures as they are introduced to the Cardiac Cath Lab, including flow wire, ultrasound, and rotablator.
  • Procedure Setup and Support: Assist in cardiac catheterizations by setting up equipment and instruments in a sterile field. Set up rooms for each patient by entering name, MR number, and appropriate information into the DX.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or related field preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
