We are seeking a Head of Technical Design to lead and manage the technical design process for architectural projects from conceptualization through to construction. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in technical architecture and architectural design, with a strong command of Revit.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management: Manage the technical design process for architectural projects from conceptualization through to construction.
  2. Design Development: Take ownership of the technical development and detailing of architectural solutions.
  3. Collaboration: Work closely with other design and engineering disciplines to integrate all technical aspects of a project.
  4. Documentation: Create and manage detailed architectural models, plans, elevations, and sections using Revit.
  5. Technical Reviews: Perform comprehensive technical reviews of all architectural and engineering documents.
  6. Team Management: Lead, mentor, and train junior architects, technologists, and project team members.
  7. Research and Development: Stay up to date with the latest architectural technologies and trends.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 10 years of experience in architectural design and technical architecture.
  3. Revit Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Revit for architectural modeling, detailing, and documentation.
  4. Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of construction methods, architectural detailing, material properties, and building systems.
  5. Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  6. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Leadership & Collaboration: Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
  8. Software Skills: Advanced knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and other related design and documentation software.
  9. Experience in leading and managing large-scale, complex architectural projects.
  10. Background in sustainable design practices and energy-efficient building systems.
  11. Experience with advanced architectural visualization and presentation techniques.
  12. Knowledge of project management tools and methods.
