Sheq Manager

Scott Bader is a a global manufacturer of adhesives, compositesand functional polymers, employee-owned since 1951. It is a common trusteeship enterprise. The post-holder needs to adhere to and promote the Commonwealth and Company values of Fairness, Responsibility, Teamwork and Commitment, and take a leading part in promoting their positive development in balance with the economic performance of the Company in the long term.

The following list is not exhaustive and other duties and responsibilities of a similar nature may be required:

- Implementation, management and improvement of integrated SHEQ Management Systems in line with Group standard.
- Management of all site activities related to ISO9001, ISO14001 and safety as well as providing support to Departmental Managers where required.
- Serve as Scott Bader representative for both internal and external audits, as well as management of the ISO and Lloyds certification processes.
- Generation of monthly statistics and reports for local and Group publication.
- Keep abreast of and lead any changes to standards, legislation and regulations to ensure SHEQ compliance to local requirements.
- Develop a sustainability plan encompassing water & energy, waste management, environmental impact and biodiversity enhancement in line with group strategy.
- Drive a safety culture across the company to ensure zero LTAs.
- Set up a HSE Committee and schedule monthly meetings with desirable outcomes.
- Involvement in incident investigations, risk assessments and hazop studies.
- Involvement in site emergency procedures.
- Work closely with the HR Department to recommend suitable training to skill staff at varying levels in the areas of health, safety, environment and quality.
- Practical training and development of plant personnel regarding safety, health, environment and quality.
- Be the custodian of Process Safety Management and drive appropriate behavioural change.
- Keeping abreast of environmental legislation and regulations.
- Appropriately manage community complaints related to the environment.
- Initiate and drive a quality assurance culture on site.
- Auditing, analysis and collection of data for submission to institutions.
- Serve on relevant committees.
- Comply with annual budget allocation and justify Capex for subsequent year.

**Salary**: AED22,000.00 - AED30,000.00 per month
