Bilingual Neurosurgery Registrar

**Neurosurgery Registrar (Arabic/English Speaker)**

**Responsibilities**:

- Organize and perform the day-to-day pre and post-operative care of inpatients as advised and guided by the Registrars and Consultants in the department.
- The Clinical Fellow is expected to be on the ward during the normal working day except for natural breaks and when clinical duties elsewhere so demand.
- Examine and clerk all patients admitted to the wards and ITU.
- Maintain regular and comprehensive progress notes in the case records of patients. In the case of HDU patients and critically ill patients, a daily progress note is mandatory.
- Arrange relevant investigations and liaise with the various departments regarding the results of investigations.
- Ensure that the results of investigations are conveyed to the Registrars and Consultants.
- Prepare for and attend the Registrar and Consultant ward rounds and carry out duties thus allocated.
- Clinical Fellows are encouraged to attend the routine or emergency operating sessions, when required or as opportunity allows.
- A provisional roster is published to specify clinic and theatre slots.
- Attend outpatient clinics under the supervision of the Consultant, as required
