Fls Draughtsman

We are currently seeking an experienced FLS (Fire and Life Safety) Draughtsman to join our team. As an FLS Draughtsman, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and documentation for fire protection and life safety systems in coordination with design engineers and project managers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop detailed drawings, schematics, and layouts for fire protection and life safety systems using AutoCAD or other draughting software.
- Interpret engineering designs, specifications, and requirements to produce accurate and comprehensive draughting deliverables for FLS systems.
- Collaborate with design engineers, fire protection specialists, and project managers to ensure that draughting work meets project objectives, timelines, and quality standards.
- Generate shop drawings, as-built drawings, and installation plans for various FLS systems, including fire alarm, fire suppression, emergency lighting, and evacuation systems.
- Incorporate design changes, modifications, and revisions into existing drawings as directed by the project team.
- Coordinate with other trades and disciplines to ensure proper integration of FLS systems into overall building designs and construction plans.
- Review and verify technical data, equipment specifications, and material requirements for draughting purposes related to fire and life safety.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation of draughting files, drawings, and project records for FLS systems.
- Assist in preparing technical submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), and other project documentation related to fire and life safety systems as required.
- Stay updated with industry standards, best practices, and technological advancements in fire protection and life safety systems draughting.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or equivalent certification in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience as an FLS Draughtsman, preferably in the construction or fire protection industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other draughting software commonly used in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of fire protection and life safety systems, components, and installation methods.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and architectural plans related to FLS systems.
- Detail-oriented with excellent accuracy and attention to detail in draughting work for FLS systems.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of local regulations, codes, and standards related to fire and life safety systems is preferred.
