Chargehand - Concrete

We are seeking an experienced Chargehand specializing in concrete to oversee and coordinate concrete-related activities on construction sites. The Chargehand will manage a team of workers, ensuring high-quality workmanship, adherence to safety standards, and timely completion of tasks. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise in concrete works, and the ability to manage day-to-day operations effectively.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and lead a team of workers in executing concrete-related tasks, including formwork, pouring, finishing, and curing.
- Plan and organize daily work schedules to meet project deadlines and specifications.
- Ensure that concrete mixing, placement, and finishing are performed in compliance with quality standards and design requirements.
- Inspect site conditions, tools, and equipment to maintain compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
- Coordinate with site supervisors, engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow.
- Monitor material usage, maintain stock levels, and request supplies as needed.
- Provide technical guidance and hands-on support for complex tasks.
- Train and mentor team members to enhance their skills in concrete work.
- Maintain records of daily activities, including progress reports and attendance.
- Address on-site challenges, resolve issues promptly, and escalate major concerns when necessary.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Extensive experience in concrete works, including formwork, reinforcement, mixing, pouring, and finishing.
- Strong knowledge of concrete properties, curing techniques, and relevant construction standards.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a workforce.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Familiarity with construction tools, equipment, and safety protocols related to concrete work.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities under time-sensitive conditions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: AED1,600.00 per month
