**Job Description: Chef de Partie (Hot and Cold Kitchen)**

A Chef de Partie in a Hot and Cold Kitchen is a crucial role responsible for overseeing specific sections within the kitchen, ensuring the preparation, cooking, and presentation of hot and cold dishes meet the highest quality standards. This position requires a strong culinary background, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead and inspire a team.

**Responsibilities**:
**Food Preparation and Cooking**:

- Prepare, cook, and present hot and cold dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Monitor cooking times, temperatures, and quality to ensure consistency.
- Ensure proper seasoning, flavor, and texture in all dishes.

**Section Management**:

- Oversee a designated section of the kitchen, which may include hot dishes, cold dishes, sauces, or specific types of cuisine.
- Coordinate with other sections to ensure timely and efficient meal preparation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment.
- **Quality Control**:

- Ensure that all dishes leaving the kitchen are of high quality, properly cooked, and visually appealing.
- Taste and assess dishes for taste, appearance, and overall quality before they are served.

**Team Leadership**:

- Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff within the assigned section.
- Provide training and mentorship to new team members.
- Maintain a positive and collaborative work environment.

**Menu Development**:

- Collaborate with the sous chef and head chef to develop new dishes, taking into consideration seasonal ingredients, customer preferences, and culinary trends.
- Contribute ideas for menu changes and improvements.

**Safety and Hygiene**:

- Adhere to all safety and hygiene standards set by the kitchen and restaurant.
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices are followed.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area.

**Inventory Management**:

- Assist in managing inventory levels for ingredients and supplies in the assigned section.
- Notify the sous chef or head chef of any shortages or discrepancies.

**Communication**:

- Maintain clear and effective communication with colleagues and superiors.
- Relay important information about food orders, timing, and special requests.

**Requirements**:

- Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a professional kitchen.
- In-depth knowledge of hot and cold culinary techniques, flavor profiles, and presentation.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and dedication to quality.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Creativity and willingness to contribute to menu development.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Starting Salary: 3,000 AED

**Salary**: From AED3,500.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
