Overview:
We are looking for a technical writer to join our smart city team. As a technical writer for your smart city team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of your IoT solutions. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation, as well as creating go-to-market collaterals, to help stakeholders understand the features and benefits of your smart city offerings.

Your goal as a technical writer will be to ensure that all stakeholders have access to the information they need to understand and fully leverage the potential of your IoT smart city offerings. This will require a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and an ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language.

**Responsibilities**:
We are looking for an Technical Writer with a deep technical knowledge, business acumen and expertise in creating solution architecture diagrams and sales collaterals etc.
- You will work closely with the sales and technical development teams to provide them with the standard and pre-approved information they need to understand our IoT solution offerings and how it can be used to meet the needs of customers and partners.
- You will be responsible for creating presentations, case studies, and other materials that help to promote the solution and demonstrate its capabilities.
- As part of the sales process, you may be involved in creating a standard proposal format and tailoring it to meet the specific requirements of each opportunity.
- Ensuring compliance with standards, you will also be responsible for ensuring that the IoT solution and its technical documentation comply with relevant industry standards, such as security and privacy standards, and that they meet the requirements of regulatory bodies such as government agencies and industry group.
- Creating go-to-market collaterals 'may involve supporting designing of brochures, flyers, and other marketing materials that promote the features and benefits of the IoT solution to potential customers and partners.
- You will be responsible for updating and maintaining the technical documentation, ensuring that it remains current and relevant as the IoT solution evolves over time.
- The goal of your role as a technical writer is to ensure that stakeholders have access to the information they need to fully understand and leverage the benefits of the IoT solution.
- You may be responsible for creating reference architectures that provide a high-level view of the IoT solution and its components, how they fit together, and how they can be integrated with existing systems
- Creating standard documents: You may be responsible for creating a set of standard documents, such as functional requirements, design specifications, and test plans, that can be used as a reference by the sales and technical development teams.
- Keeping abreast of emerging IoT technologies and industry trends and recommending technology solutions to meet the evolving needs of our customers
- Conduct research and gather information about the technology and vendor, review whitepapers, case studies, and other relevant materials.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, technical writing (or other related technology degree) or equivalent field experience.
- Advanced certifications in technical writing, IT, IoT, or related fields may be an advantage.
- A strong technical background, including knowledge of IoT technologies, smart city solutions, and networking protocols, is essential.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with an ability to write clear, concise, and accurate technical documentation and marketing collaterals, are critical for this role.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, including sales, presales, and marketing teams, as well as technical development teams.
- Relevant experience in technical writing, particularly in the IoT field, is highly desirable. This may include experience creating technical documentation, reference architectures, and marketing collaterals for IoT solutions.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing technology and requirements, and pay close attention to detail is crucial in this role.
- A passion for IoT and smart city solutions, and a desire to stay current on the latest developments and trends in this field, will be an advantage.
- Expert in creating solution architecture diagrams and sales collaterals etc.
