Head Paramedic

Via Medica International is looking for an **Head Advanced** **Paramedic **for our **EMS Division** in** **Abu Dhabi.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in emergency medical technology or Emergency applied science or UK Paramedic Science
- Valid ACLS, PALS, PHTLS Certification
- Proven experience as Senior Advance Paramedic or Head Paramedic
- DOH License

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring that all protocols and procedures are followed, including safety measures such as wearing protective equipment while on duty
- Managing the budget and working with other leaders to plan for future needs
- Establishing goals and objectives for the department, including quality of service and response times
- Supervising employees, ensuring that they are following protocols and procedures and resolving problems when necessary
- Overseeing the hiring of new personnel in order to ensure that the team has enough manpower to meet current needs and can handle future growth in demand
- Ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained, including vehicles, ambulances, and medical equipment
- Overseeing the daily operations of the EMS department, including responding to calls for service, performing triage, and providing treatment to patients
- Managing all aspects of an EMS program, including recruitment and hiring of personnel, purchasing of equipment, training of staff, and development of policies & procedures
- The Paramedic will provide care and treatment of chronically or acutely ill and/or injured patients
- Provides high-quality care to patients in the transport environment under the direction of the Director of Operations and the referring and/or receiving Physician in accordance with Critical Care policies, protocols, and standards of care.
- Autonomously evaluate critically ill or injured patients of all age groups (pediatric through adult), provide therapeutic intervention, emergency interventions, and preparation for transport (via ground or helicopter) from hospitals or accident scenes.
- Plans, organizes and positions equipment and supplies for use in emergency conditions before, during, and after transport.
