Outdoor Adventure Guide

ECC Adventures FZE is looking for a qualified outdoor leader to help assist and develop our outdoor recreation program in addition to leading weekly hiking trips. Based in the Northern Emirates of Fujariah/Sharjah (just a few hours east of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in the Middle East), ECC Adventures' goal is to promote community, exploration, fun, and learning, while respecting and valuing our environment and the local culture. Our outings tend to host multinational groups, with participants coming from all parts of the globe.

A weekday after-school program is alos in development for the upcoming season, where the Trail Leader will need to assist 2-3 of the weekday sessions. This role will include skill development, social interaction and management of the safety of minors. A background check from your respective country will be necessary as well as safeguard training once established in the role.

The **IDEAL CANDIDATE **will have experience in one or more of the following:

- Wilderness Search and Rescue
- Geology, Wildlife Biology or Environmental Science
- Wilderness Conservation
- Therapy/wellness programs in outdoor settings
- Personal coaching/team building
- Technical climbing or mountaineering (certified)
- LNT education
- Curriculum development/outdoor safety and risk assessment

**Job Duties**
- Guiding outdoor trips (5-12 per month) of groups containing 10-30 participants
- Training staff and volunteers under ECC guidelines
- Working closely with company management on activity planning/logistics
- Developing a risk management plan that works with local authorities
- Answering customer inquiries for upcoming trips
- Understanding and working within legal guidelines of the designated license
- Drafting expedition policy to teach and enforce in the field

**Requirements**:

- BA Diploma from an accredited University (attested/notarized)
- Outdoor Recreation certifications (attested/notarized) as a Mountain Leader or Outdoor Instructor
- Wilderness First Aid or comparable Wilderness Medicine/CPR certifications (attested/notarized)
- 2 years + outdoor leadership experience, including recommendation letters
- Some experience using Microsoft Excel/Word/PowerPoint
- Passport (with a minimum of 9-months validity)

Other Possible Duties

Data input and entry;
Consultation on company business policies, including logistics, pricing, customer feedback;
Brainstorming ideas/creating new projects;
Marketing and advertising i.e. social media posting;
Exploring new possible trails or activities;
Providing transport for clients;
Liaising with outside vendors or government entities on behalf of ECCA

**Salary**: AED2,500.00 - AED4,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- UAE: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (required)

**Experience**:

- Outdoor Instructor: 2 years (required)
