Looking to take the next step in your career? Hatch is currently seeking a highly motivated **Structural Designer **to join our Project Delivery Group (PDG) in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

**Summary**

The Structural Designer will be part of an engineering team providing engineering services to large and small projects. The designer is responsible for the production of civil and structural 3D models and 2D drawings in accordance with project requirements under the supervision of the Lead Engineer/Designer.
- Assist the Lead Engineer/Designer with the delivery of project requirements as they relate to scope, quantities, cost and schedule
- Coordinate the work of draftspersons in the preparation of contract drawings, record keeping and other statistical work
- Produce and maintain technical and engineering drawings using 3D and 2D CAD software as required
- Perform conceptual layout work
- Develop design concepts/details
- Check drawings prior to each release stage
- Ensure coordination with designers and engineers within the discipline and with other disciplines
- Perform clash detection of models with other discipline models
- Participation in formal engineering review processes
- Verify onsite condition and dimensions relating to existing facilities
- Construction supervision dependent upon project demands
- Incorporate safety in design.

**Qualifications and Experience**

**Essential**
- Engineering diploma or equivalent (civil/structural)
- Minimum of ten (10) years of civil and structural design experience
- Experience within a large project, multi-disciplinary EPCM environment
- Proficient in the use of 3D and 2D structural designer software packages - SP3D, MicroStation and AutoCAD
- Knowledge of industry or regulatory standards, regulations and codes pertinent to the design and systems related to the project
- Understanding of other discipline requirements
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good safety awareness
- Positive and Innovative Attitude.
