The Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences, at the University of Wollongong in Dubai, seeks to appoint a dynamic and talented academic with expertise in modern business & management information systems. The incumbent for this position is expected to play a key role in the development and delivery of the undergraduate program in business information systems as well as postgraduate programs in Information Technology and Digital Transformation.

The organization of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences enables the development of interdisciplinary taught programs and research activity, in line with student interests, employer needs and both national and international trends. Currently, the Faculty has over 45 academic and support staff and offers a wide portfolio of accredited undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the fields of Engineering, Computer Science and Business Information Systems. In addition, the Faculty offers a number of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) short courses aimed at practicing Engineers, Technologists and Scientists.

All our programs are accredited by the United Arab Emirates Commission for academic Accreditation (CAA) and all our undergraduate Engineering programs are professionally accredited by Engineers Australia and the Computing and Business Information Systems programs are accredited by the Australian Computer Society.

We are seeking an experienced academic in the area of Business Information Systems having a PhD in the related field, from a recognized university. The position is offered at either an Assistant or Associate Professor level, according to experience and qualification. It is a full-time position that requires the holder to contribute to the Faculty’s teaching, research and governance activities.

The applicant is expected to have proven teaching experience at a recognized higher education institution, along with a record of scholarly research and high-quality publications in the relevant field. Industry experience or evidence of industry-academic collaborations would also be beneficial. The required range of teaching includes Management of information systems, e-business, system analysis, IT project management, enterprise architecture as well as modern digital transformation technologies such as cloud computing, business process management, and robotic process automation.

The post-holder will also be expected to contribute to the supervision of capstone projects at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. He/ She will be expected to fully engage in scholarly and research activities within the thriving engineering and information sciences team to produce high-impact research and deliver research-informed undergraduate and Master’s level teaching. The applicant is expected to have an experience of involvement in collaborative research with external organizations, and have a strong track record for the dissemination of knowledge through recent publications in high impact international journals and international conferences.

Experience and Qualifications
- PhD. in Business Information Systems (or related discipline) from a recognized international academic institution
- Teaching experience at an internationally recognized institution in area related to Management of information systems, e-business, system analysis, IT project management, software development methodologies, enterprise architecture, digital transformation strategy, cloud computing, and business process management.
- An active researcher in the field (or related field) with publications in recognized international journals
- Fluency in the English language (both spoken and written)
- Excellent communication skills

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Documented experience in business information systems and digital transformation strategy and technologies.
- Ability to teach and conduct research about the latest business information systems related topics to design, implement and test digitalized enterprise solutions for solving complex problems.
- Experience with common business information systems and digital transformation tools and technologies, such as business process management, RPA, cloud platforms, data science tools, AI and machine learning models and related tools, enterprise design thinking framework, Blockchain platforms, IoT platforms, Cyber security tools, MIS frameworks, and e-commerce frameworks.
