Coffee Shop Barista

Role Summary:
Legacy Cafe is currently looking for a skilled and passionate Coffee Shop Barista to join our team. The Coffee Shop Barista will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee and tea beverages while providing exceptional customer service to create a memorable experience for our patrons.

Key Responsibilities:
Craft and serve a diverse range of coffee and tea beverages, adhering to Legacy Cafe's quality standards.

Engage with customers in a friendly and welcoming manner, taking and processing orders accurately.

Provide recommendations to customers based on their preferences and educate them about our offerings.

Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment effectively and safely.

Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the coffee preparation area and cafe environment.

Participate in keeping track of inventory, restocking supplies, and notifying supervisors of any shortages.

Maintain a solid understanding of the cafe's menu, ingredients, and brewing techniques.

Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to maintain smooth operations during peak hours.

Handle cash transactions and use the point-of-sale system accurately.

Uphold health and safety standards, including proper food handling and hygiene practices.

Assist in cleaning duties, including washing utensils, equipment, and maintaining a clean workspace.

Continuously seek to improve coffee-making techniques and stay updated with industry trends.

Contribute to a positive and cooperative work environment within the cafe team.

Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns professionally.

Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience as a barista in a coffee shop or similar setting is preferred.

Knowledge of various coffee brewing methods and techniques.

Ability to operate coffee machines, grinders, and related equipment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Attention to detail in order to create visually appealing and great-tasting beverages.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Positive attitude and a customer-centric approach.

Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change.

Knowledge of hygiene and safety practices in a food service setting.

High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification is a plus.

**Salary**: AED1,800.00 - AED2,000.00 per month

- Fujairah: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (required)
