Pet Groomer

- Participates with Head of operations in drawing up strategies for client’s retention, annual plan to achieve grooming Team KPI, and modelling and outlining grooming standards of operations.
- Ensures meeting all operational and commercial objectives as set out by the Head of Operations including but not limited to, internal audits compliance, revenue target and standards of operations.
- Build a positive relationship with pet owners & pets by striving to determine grooming needs.
- Distribute grooming sessions among groomers ensuring aligning primary pet needs with trainers’ capabilities.
- Communicate grooming timetable with groomers on weekly basis, ensuring groomers are familiar with their schedule within at least 72 hrs of grooming schedule.
- On a day-to-day basis, monitor new appointments, daily sessions delivery and clients’ feedback.
- Oversees grooming team performance on daily basis ensuring delivery of superior standards of pet grooming services.
- Maintain records of booked, postponed, cancelled and delivered appointments with pet owners’ account and pets’ details along with the services delivery report.
- Submit service invoice to the front desk upon completion of the grooming session or any additional services.
- Examine pets state of mind upon receipt of grooming brief from clients.
- Communicate pet anxious and any up normal behaviour with pet trainers before proceeding with grooming if necessary.
- Take photo of the pet before grooming and maintain the records of the general observations about the pet.
- Perform grooming services including clipping, combing, trimming, hand scissoring, medicated and general cleansing, and ear cleansing.
- Perform grooming as requested for each pet after reading written grooming brief to determine clipping pattern desired.
- Identifying health issues in pets, such as ear infections, skin conditions, or tooth decay, and informing pet owners of these observations.
- Oversees pet bathing, brushing, and drying performed by the assistant groomer.
- handover pets to their pet care specialists and ensure that every pet released is clean and properly groomed and is accompanied by personal belongings.
- Assists doctors, technicians, nurses, trainers, handlers, and other personnel with any pet grooming needs.
- Highlight and record abnormalities of pets to the customers, groomers if noticed, to avoid unnecessary conflicts or misunderstanding.
- Ensure workplace safety, hygiene level and cleanliness of the grooming centre.
- Prepare and submit Grooming service report including service provided, observations about medical needs or behaviour assessment needs, style maintenance along with before and after photos to the pet owner within 24 hrs from delivering the services.
- Manage inventory of grooming tools, equipment, raw materials, and towels ensuring equipment is maintained and submit grooming inventory report monthly. with list of items, procurement requests, maintenance requests to the finance department.
- Communicate equipment & tools maintenance, damages, loss, and procurement needs to direct manager.
- Listens to complaints or comments from clients with great interest and reports incidents and accidents of any kind to direct manager with correct follow up and action.
