**Job Brief**:
We are looking for a **Procurement Officer** with strong interpersonal and negotiations skills to join our growing team. The Procurement Officer responsibilities include evaluating vendors, negotiating contracts and preparing reports for sharing with the management.
For this role, you should have good market knowledge of supplies required for the manufacturing of shades and tents, tarpaulins and tensile structure space; along with solid analytical skills to make sure you’re identifying the most profitable offers.
**Responsibilities**:
- Selecting appropriate suppliers and contractors to promote good procurement practices.
- Creating and maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
- Maintaining records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
- Reviewing and analyzing all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options.
- Developing plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies.
- Negotiating the best deal for pricing and supply contracts.
- Ensuring that the products and supplies are high quality.
- Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
- Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
- Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports.
- Maintaining updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
- Preparing reports on purchases, including cost analyses.
- Monitoring stock levels and place orders as needed.
- Coordinating with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent or similar role preferably in Steel Industry.
- Good knowledge of procurement practices, policies, and systems.
- Understanding of supply chain procedures.
- Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
- Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
