The school requires an experienced and competent teacher to teach new students at the school.
The teacher will support the development of the new institution of the orchestra and will give master classes to the student.
This is an opportunity to build and train an orchestra. You would be responsible for teaching new students at the school in all aspects of orchestral playing, as well as being heavily involved in our string, woodwind, brass and percussion ensembles.
We are looking for someone with a friendly but strong presence, who is flexible, patient, well-organised, and with clear communication skills. Knowledge of Arabic is not required but you will be working with new students with varying levels of comprehension in English. You will need to be able to motivate and inspire good working habits.
An ability to play the piano and/or assist with theory teaching would be an advantage though not necessary.
One applicant will be invited for a six-month trial period in Al Fujairah, the starting will be informed. If the trial period proves successful for both parties, a renewable one-year contract will be offered.

Employment Guidelines
- **Tax-free salary**:The position of instrument teacher offers a basic tax-free salary.
- **End of Service Gratuity**: A gratuity will be paid on the completion of service, comprising one month of basic salary for each year of service, accumulated to a maximum of ten years.
- **Contracts**: After a successful probation period of six months, a one-year renewable contract will be awarded.
- **Benefits**: An allowance for accommodation and utilities (water & electricity), as well as a further allowance to contribute towards telephone, transport and cost of living expenses.
- **Flights**: A return flight to a nominated home airport is provided each year, as well as for accompanying family members living in United Arab of Emirates with Resident Visas.
- **Working Hours**: The working week in UAE is Monday to Friday. The working days at the school from 3pm to 10pm, Monday to Thursday and on Saturday and Sunday will be from 8am to 4pm.
- **Annual Leave**: Annual leave is 35 days and usually takes place over the summer, typically beginning towards the end of June. Extra leave is granted for local religious and national holidays, as well as December 25th. Two further one-week breaks, at the end of the winter and spring terms, may also be offered.
- **Unpaid Leave**: Unpaid Leave can be applied for in exceptional circumstances and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- **Medical Insurance.** Local, basic medical insurance is provided. Applicants will be required to undergo a medical check, and therefore only applicants in good health should apply. Persons who are HIV Positive or who have hepatitis will not be granted residency and therefore will be unable to work.
