Stem Trainer

**Job purpose**

Ø Teaching Faculty members are expected to prepare for and meet their teaching responsibilities for every class.

Ø Teachers encourage individual student progress and monitor disciplinary problems. They help the students to develop academic and daily living skills.

Ø We are looking for ambitious engineers, educators, ICT Professionals who are driven by the passion to work with cutting-edge technology and equipping students with logical sequential programming constructs.

Ø Working with a varied set of platforms like LEGO EV3 Mindstorms, mBots, Arduino, WEDO, VEX IQ/EDR, Raspberry Pi, etc. The individual would be expected to lend classroom support, deliver planned lessons and work on content related to the myriad of our programs.

**Key accountability**

Ø Responsible for the conduct of tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops, and/or student field excursions.

Ø The preparation and delivery of lectures and seminars provided that their skills and experience demonstrate this capacity.

Ø Acting as a student advocate where appropriate. Involvement in professional activity. Consultation with students.

Ø Marking and assessment are primarily connected with courses in which the faculty member teaches.

Ø Production of teaching materials for students for whom the faculty member has responsibility.

Ø Development of course material with appropriate guidance from the program coordinator.

Ø Limited administrative functions primarily connected with courses in which the faculty member teaches.

Ø Acting as an instructor of record or section coordinators provided that their skills and experience demonstrate this capacity.

Ø Recommending relevant changes to the curriculum committee as appropriate.

Ø Attendance at divisional/unit meetings, faculty meetings, and membership in committees.

Ø Ensuring own professional development by seeking learning opportunities as appropriate.

Ø Performs other duties assigned by the Head of their Division/Unit.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**

1. Facilitate the Robotics and STEM classes camps
2. Be hands-on with the programming and structural constructs in the program, and support groups of students in building and programming their own
3. Work with school students on the principles of Robotics, including the science behind associated concepts Teaching material and training towards the same shall be provided
4. Document the students individual and group progress through the duration of the program
5. Assist with content and feedback collection on a need basis
6. Must be an expert at training on the platforms like LEGO EV3 Mindstorms, VEX IQ/EDR, Arduino.

7. Experience in training students for various STEM/ Robotics competitions is a plus.

**Minimum Qualifications and Minimum Experience Requirement**

Applicants should have relevant experience with STEM, Robotics, and Coding.

Education: Bachelors in Computer Application (Computers), Bachelor of Technology/Engineering,

Preference will be given to Globally Certified and Recognized trainers.
