Swimming Coach

As a Swimming Coach, you will work in conjunction with the Head of PE and swimming team to ensure that the lessons are broad, sequential, and relevant, taking account of all learners in their care.

The successful Swimming Coach will model the values of Citizens School and create a culture where all members of the community learn, thrive, and collaborate, ensuring all individuals are empowered and nurtured, as Citizens School becomes known as a center of excellence.

Principle Duties:

- To plan and deliver various swimming lessons (School curriculum for FS1 to Year 7 and Swim squads).
- For the duration of the lesson, instruct, and provide feedback and encouragement to learners.
- To deliver swimming lessons that are fun and motivate, educate, and encourage children of varying abilities.
- To help with the planning and running of Galas and swimming events.
- Undertake any other specific tasks as determined by the Head of PE.
- Ensuring the pool or training area is clean, well-maintained, and free of hazards
- Attend regular training and updates.

Qualifications and Experience that are essential.
- Minimum Swim England/STA Level 1 Swim Teaching/equivalent coaching Qualification
- Lifeguard qualifications
- Experience teaching swimming to a wide range of ages and abilities, ideally in a school.
- Ability to assess, determine, and report on swimming levels and analyse techniques
- Strong organisational and management skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to work long hours
