Summary:
We are looking for registered nurse who can join on immediate basis.

**Key tasks / duties (not limited to)**

A. Coordinates and provides nursing care including the assessment, education and treatment of patients:
1) Accurately performs and documents assessments of patients as indicated within established procedures

2) Initial base line vital data and patient assessment on arrival

3) Implement age suitable care based on nursing assessment medical plan

4) Provide effective patient/family education based on individualized learning needs that include discharge instructions

5) Provide accurate evaluation of patient response to plan of care

6) Establish priorities for patient care within established policies and procedures, delegates nursing care in accordance to acuity of patient needs according to competency

7) Facilitate communication as well as coordination of interdisciplinary activities and make appropriate referrals

8) Serve as a preceptor/resource, provides effective in-service education and participate in performance improvement activities

9) Attain required CME for licensure in a timely manner

10) Maintain CPR certification

11) Competently and accurately, assess patients.

12) Identify actual and potential nursing needs.

13) Follow a doctor's instruction, order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient's condition.

14) Monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions to the doctor.

15) Direct and supervise less skilled nursing personnel.

16) Prepare patients for and assist with, examinations and treatments.

17) Accurately complete all nursing records as per company requirements.

18) Assist with the safe & prompt transfers of patients when required.

19) Respect confidentiality of patient information by ensuring that nursing documents and conversations pertaining to patient care are secure.

20) Practice and promote positive customer and peer relations.

21) Assist in providing a clean & safe care environment.

22) Adhere to Infection Control Policies and Procedures at all times.

23) Practice cost containment for the patient and company by managing and controlling all consumables. Manage stock levels and maintain sufficient stock levels to ensure continuity of care and prevent wastage and excesses.

24) Manage and implement processes to minimize medico-legal risks.

25) Report all incidents to the Clinical Manager/Clinical Team Leader as soon as possible.

26) Adhere to Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.

27) Function as an interdependent and supportive team member.

28) Assist in maintaining a positive learning and teaching environment.

29) Administer medications and treatments, as prescribed

30) Adhere to internal controls established for the business.

31) Perform i-stat finger sticks accurately

32) Responsible to attend staff meetings

33) Understanding, promoting and helping to update practice manuals relating to nursing and clinical services

34) Know and understand the procedures for documenting health records

35) Ensuring that the appropriate health assessments are conducted in accordance with the professional and clinic standards

36) Reviewing health assessment procedures and ongoing care documentation and evaluation activities to ensure consistency with practice manuals

37) Liaising with general practitioners, pharmacy, ambulance, laboratory and other health professionals to ensure that patients’ health needs are met

38) Assisting patients and their families to make informed decisions

39) Acting as an advocate for patients

40) Understanding, promoting and meeting the cultural, spiritual and health needs of patients

41) Ensuring care and services are provided in accordance with the HAAD regulations

42) Competently performing care activities for the patients in accordance with their assessed health needs

B. Working performance:
a. Promote a work environment conducive to harmonious work relationships and high staff morale

b. Attend all regular nursing staff meetings (not less than two monthly) to promote communication and information sharing

c. Accept and introduce change in a planned and sensitive manner

C. Provide a safe environment for patients, visitors and other staff

a. This will be achieved by:
i. Understanding and promoting emergency procedures

ii. Anticipating and reporting any occupational health and safety risk to patients, staff or families (including stress and fatigue)

iii. Taking responsibility for their own personal health and safety and ensuring that their work practices do not provide a hazard to others

iv. Understanding and promoting all procedures and guidelines to ensure safety of medication/vaccine storage and administration

v. Observing and promoting all professional guidelines for practice regarding infection control

vi. Having a working understanding of: HAAD regulations and Company policies
