Overall Purpose of the role

Provide general inspection on all Contractor and Sub-Contractor work to assure a safe and workmanship operations. He also should assist the senior electrical engineer in his duties.

Expectations & Responsibilities related to your role

1- SITE MANAGEMENT & DELIVERABLES - CONSTRUCTION STAGE
- Assist in reviewing project contract documents and monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance.
- Monitoring and/or evaluating mechanical tests such as leakage tests, pressure tests, cfm testetc as required.
- Field checking installation and location of mechanical equipment, mechanical ducts, pipes, panels and other components of the mechanical system being installed.
- Monitoring all mechanical installations to assure all mechanical installations adhere to construction documents and National mechanic Code requirements.
- Verifying equipment settings, alignment and testing requirements.
- Inspect construction site and record the execution of work; assist in monitor progress against agreed program.
- Ensure all mechanical and utilities work is in accordance with the contract documents.
- Conduct site inspections when required by senior mechanical engineer.
- Inspect work in progress for conformance to specifications, approved drawings and method statements.
- Coordinate with the contractor; liaise with other authorities.
- Working with a variety of technicians.
- Assist the senior mechanical engineer in reviewing shop drawings and review of “as-built” drawings along with all other technical submittals.
- Full awareness of the approved quality plan specifically related to inspection and test plan, method statement for each item he is in charge of it.

2- TECHNICAL AND QA/QC
- Responsible for quality controlling the executed works at site in coordination with site team.
- Coordinates on time of assisting senior mechanical engineer reviews and comments on the materials and samples (when required).
- Assures the site staff are complying with local health, safety and risk regulations.
- Assist the senior mechanical engineer in monitoring project quality performance and advise/highlight appropriate corrective actions to the senior mechanical engineer and to report infringements, problems and any unusual observations to immediate superior.
- Testing & commissioning procedure implementation.
