Tricess Group is partnering with Jumeirah Hotels to recruit skilled Commis 2 professionals for their esteemed kitchens. **Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Assist the Chef de Partie in preparing and cooking dishes according to established recipes and standards.
- Manage and maintain assigned kitchen stations, ensuring cleanliness and organization.
- Prepare ingredients and conduct mise en place for efficient service.
- Adhere to safety and hygiene practices to ensure the quality and safety of food.
- Contribute to the development and presentation of dishes, ensuring consistency and high standards.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff and apprentices.
- Help manage inventory and report any equipment issues or shortages to the Chef de Partie.
**Qualifications & Requirements**:
- Up to 2 years of experience as a Commis 1 or in a similar role within a high-volume kitchen.
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety practices.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Willingness to learn and further develop culinary skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the team.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
**Skills Required**:
- **Culinary Expertise**: Proficiency in basic cooking techniques and food preparation.
- **Station Management**: Ability to manage and maintain a clean and organized kitchen station.
- **Teamwork**: Effective collaboration with other kitchen staff and contribution to team success.
- **Time Management**: Efficiently prioritize tasks and handle a busy kitchen environment.
- **Attention to Detail**: Ensure accuracy in food preparation and presentation.
