Position: Consultant Neonatologist

**About the Role**

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Clinical Care**: Provide expert medical care to newborns, including those in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
- **Diagnosis and Treatment**: Diagnose and manage a wide range of neonatal conditions, including respiratory, cardiovascular, and metabolic disorders.
- **Procedures**: Perform advanced neonatal procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and exchange transfusions.
- **Patient Management**: Develop and implement comprehensive care plans, including follow-up care and discharge planning.
- **Multidisciplinary Collaboration**: Work closely with pediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care.
- **Family Support**: Communicate effectively with families, providing them with information, support, and counseling as needed.
- **Education and Training**: Mentor and educate junior medical staff, including residents and fellows, in neonatal care practices.
- **Research and Development**: Engage in clinical research to advance the field of neonatology and improve patient outcomes.
- **Compliance**: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, maintaining accurate and detailed patient records.

**Qualifications and Requirements**
- Medical Degree: MBBS or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Specialization: Postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics with further specialization in Neonatology.
- **Licensing**: Valid license to practice as a Consultant Neonatologist - DHA
- **Skills**: Proficiency in advanced neonatal care procedures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- **Language**: Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of other languages is an advantage..
