**Your day to day**
We are currently recruiting for a full-time Pastry Demi Chef de Parties to join our enthusiastic team at voco Dubai. As a Demi Chef de Partie, you will support the pastry chef by preparing, presenting, storing, and serving a selection of pastry food items. Moreover, you will be responsible for:

- Ensure the efficient operation of such food production in areas in charge of by the Pastry Chef/Sous Chef/Chef De Partie.
- Ensure safe, quality food products and complete guest satisfaction.
- Responsible to maintain all standards set by the Pastry Chef/Sous Chef/Chef De Partie and establishing the manner and means to train personnel in his/her area of responsibility According to standard operating procedures.
- Maintain the highest food quality and controls for all food products Served in all areas, accordingly
- Share overall responsibility of proper storing procedures, food orders, food cost, equipment, sanitation, and hygiene with the Chief Steward and the entire Stewarding team.
- Comply and follow the highest health, sanitation, and safety, Standards necessary in food handling and overall cleanliness.
- He guarantees that menus, recipes, methods, pictures, and specifications are given by the Pastry Chef /Sous Chef/Chef De Partie is followed exactly.
- Communicates politely and displays courtesy to guests and internal customers
- Provides direction to the Kitchen helpers, including Cooks, Kitchen Attendants, and Stewards
- Communicates to his/her superior any difficulties, guest or internal customer comment, and other relevant information
- Establishes and maintains effective employee working relationships
- Attends and participates in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled
- Attends and participates in training sessions as scheduled
- Prepares in advance food, beverage, material, and equipment needed for the service
- Maintains a clean and hygienic work area
- Implements the hotel and department regulations, policies, and procedures including but not limited to:

- Health and Safety
- Grooming
- Performs related duties and special projects as assigned
- Demonstrate Awareness of OH&S policies and procedures and ensure all procedures are conducted safely and within OH&S guidelines
- Be aware of duty of care and adhere to occupational, health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures
- Be familiar with property safety, first aid, fire, and emergency procedures and operate equipment safely and sensibly.

**What we need from you**
At voco Dubai, we look for hosts who are reliably different and contribute in the success Of bringing our brand to life**Ideally, you'll have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the similar role in a four or five-star hotel or comparable industry, the ability to demonstrate working with and engaging teams from different cultures, strong verbal and written communication skills along with being quality-oriented with focus on details, high-performance standards, able to multi-task in the kitchen & meet deadlines and Committed to serving food of the highest quality.
