**Responsibilities**
- Set the design vision and execute the design strategy and direction for the company, aligning it with the overarching goals of each project.
- Prepare Scope & Design Review Procedure to allow End User and PMs review of the Design Documents in Various Stages to avoid Design Discrepancies.
- Review and audit the necessary technical expertise to all projects with regard to the below:
1. Pre-qualification of design consultants.

2. Preparation of scope of works for design consultants.

3. Technical evaluation of Design bids.

4.Technical clarification with bidders during award.

5.Resolution of technical problems with consultants.
- Provide advanced technical expertise and mentorship to the design team, ensuring the highest standards of compliance with industry codes, standards, and best practices.
- Oversee the seamless integration of architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, interior, and landscape design components for alignment in the project outcomes.
- Lead coordination efforts to address complex technical challenges guaranteeing holistic and harmonious project outcomes.
- Spearhead values engineering initiatives to optimize design solutions for cost-effectiveness without compromising technical integrity.
- Ensure designs adhere to and surpass all relevant building codes, zoning regulations, and industry-specific standards.
- Implement and champion sustainable design strategies, aiming for industry-leading certifications and environmentally conscious outcomes.
- Lead the design team and manage the design resources, such as contractors, suppliers, consultants, and external authorities.
- Keeping up to date with industry trends and technology advancements to inform design decisions. Heads of Design should have a pulse on the latest design trends and technologies (such as platforms) so they can lead their teams in the right direction.
- Spearhead the implementation and utilization of BIM tools and methodologies for collaborative design and construction documentation.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date BIM models are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead value engineering exercises, optimizing design solutions for cost-effectiveness while upholding technical integrity.
- Provide strategic input to monitor project budgets related to technical aspects and offer guidance on cost control measures.
- Overseeing the development of highly detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for architectural, MEP, interior, and landscape design.
- Collaborate closely with MEP Managers to seamlessly integrate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems into architectural and interior designs.
- Conduct technical reviews and performance analyses, identifying opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Implement sustainable design strategies to enhance energy efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and achieve LEED certification goals.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and materials that enhance sustainability in real estate development. **Keep updated with evolving building codes, zoning regulations, and industry-specific standards, and ensure designs are fully compliant.**:

- Manages a centralized multi-discipline engineering source of expertise to be utilized in the areas of engineering development, design studies and audits.
- Reviews and agrees on the Design specifications, standards, policies and procedures developed for implementation of each project from project definition through handover to end-users. Ensures such standards, systems, specifications, policies and procedures are in accordance with company’s policies and procedures and end user requirements.
- Audit the Design Works in all phases of the projects to achieve the appropriate level of uniformity, standardization, compatibility and quality of design and engineering of Review and audit the necessary technical expertise to the techno-economic feasibility studies for various projects during the design phase

**Qualifications**
- Master’s degree in architecture, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 15+ years of experience in technical design and project management, preferably within the real estate development sector, with a focus on ultra luxury developments.
- Professional licensure or certification in the relevant field in the capacity of the role.
- Proficiency in advanced technical design software and tools.
- In-depth knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards applicable to real estate development.
