Description - Identifies and communicates abnormal patient conditions by alerting supervisory personnel, (Pathologist, Patient Physician, or Nurse) reporting mandated information to the public health department or other designated officials. - Recognizes abnormal results or unusual circumstances and takes appropriate actions. Utilizes available resources to maintain and fix instruments or to solve issues in collaboration with the Pathologist doctor. - Measures proper instrument maintenance, collection and analysis of appropriate samples. - Ensure that to maintain TAT for each tests and perform Quality control activities as per approved SOPs. - Organizes work by matching computer orders with specimen labeling, sorting specimens, checking labeling, logging specimens & keeping work surfaces clean. - Retrieve patient results and reports in a timely manner and completes required documentation, which may include chain of custody
