Job Title: Systems Administrator

Reporting to: Team Leader - Systems Administration

Direct Reports: None

Purpose of Job

The Systems Administrator provides specialist BAU and project delivery skills across a number of Trapeze’s critical infrastructure platforms. The role works across several areas of the business and supports both internal and customer platforms.

Key

**Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Team Leader - Systems Administration and working collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team, undertake the following high-level responsibilities in a professional manner:
System Administration
- Undertake BAU administration tasks across the following platforms:

- Server and storage infrastructure
- Virtualisation platforms
- AWS and Azure cloud
- Windows Server and workstation
- Remote user support
- Windows imaging, updates and patching
- Database administration
- Backup and recovery
- Networking, routing and switching
- Linux servers
- Security
- Manage service desk tickets to ensure timely resolution of incidents, requests and problems.
- Resolve issues in a timely manner and proactively take measures to prevent from reoccurring
- Monitor platforms to ensure any issues are detected and resolved before they become customer-impacting
- Identify opportunities for process, platform or technology improvement
- Ensure documentation is updated in a timely manner

Project Delivery
- Implementation of new internal and customer platforms
- Work as part of cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered against time, cost and quality measures.
- Assist with assessment of new technologies for suitability within the Trapeze environment

Desktop Support
- Provide local IT support for Trapeze colleagues in Dubai as required
- Take responsibility for managing IT procurement and IT inventory management for Dubai and Riyadh.

Other
- Undertake any other reasonable tasks consistent with training and skill levels required for this position as requested.

Education and Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or an equivalent level of experience in a related role
- 5 years demonstrable experience in a System Administration role across complex enterprise architectures supporting hardware, virtualization, networking and cloud.
- Understanding of database architectures and related infrastructure design to optimize performance and reliability.
- Experience with migration of on-premise platforms to public cloud infrastructure.
- Track record of successful infrastructure project delivery.

- The position may involve occasional travel between regions supported (Middle East, Australia, Africa).
- The position will involve on-call roster rotation
