**Who we are looking for**

We are looking for an energetic professional to be a Manager Researcher. Based in Dubai, the Manager Researcher will part of a team that is responsible for the due diligence of all internal and external investment managers used across State Street. This person will also serve as the lead for local investment managers and must have demonstrated underwriting experience and the ability to communicate views and recommendations.

This position reports to the managing director, Head of Manager Research - Investment Solutions Group.

**Why this role is important to us**

This role will contribute to SSGA's strategic priority to expand in the Middle East. You will be the first Manager Researcher based there. You will be part of SSGA's Investment Solutions Group ("ISG"). In addition to OCIO, ISG's offerings include asset-liability modeling, asset allocation, model portfolios, open-architecture manager research, portfolio rebalancing, liquidity management, exposure management, and overlay hedging.

**What you will be responsible for**

As an Assistant Vice President you will:

- Contribute to manager research and rating process for investment managers including internal and external strategies
- You will be closely involved with the manager oversight due diligence and reporting process including generating and monitoring the watch list and other governance processes within SSGA
- Capable of underwriting a prospective manager individually or as a part of a team
- You will participate in the investment process and communicate process/decisions to the team members
- Interface/communicate with clients about manager performance

**Education & Preferred Qualifications**
- Minimum of 3-5 years investment experience as a researcher for an OCIO provider, investment consultant, wealth advisor, asset owner, or administrator
- Academic background in finance, economics, business, or a related field
- MBA, CFA, CAIA or CPA preferred

**Additional requirements**

Willingness to travel across the Middle East and Africa
