Animal Caretaker

**Job Summary**

The Animal Caretaker will be responsible for providing compassionate care and support to animals in a veterinary clinic or animal care facility. This role involves ensuring the well-being and comfort of animals under their supervision.

**Duties**
- Assist veterinary staff with animal handling during examinations and procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in animal living areas
- Provide food, water, and medication to animals as directed by veterinarians
- Monitor and record animal behavior and health status
- Assist in restraining animals for treatments or examinations
- Clean and sterilize animal cages, equipment, and facilities
- Follow veterinary protocols for animal care and treatment

**Skills**
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Experience in animal handling and restraint techniques
- Understanding of veterinary critical care practices
- Familiarity with equine care is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong communication skills with both colleagues and pet owners

**Experience**:

- Veterinary experience: 1 year (required)
- Veterinary assistant: 1 year (preferred)
