Salon Receptionist

**Job Overview**:
The Salon Receptionist is responsible for managing front desk operations, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for clients, and supporting the overall functionality of the salon. This role involves handling appointments, answering client inquiries, assisting with customer needs, and maintaining salon cleanliness and organization.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Greeting Clients**: Welcome clients in a friendly and professional manner upon arrival, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued.
- **Appointment Management**: Schedule, reschedule, and cancel client appointments using salon booking software; manage the appointment calendar to ensure efficient flow.
- **Check-In & Check-Out**: Ensure clients are checked in for appointments, and provide efficient check-out services, including processing payments, handling tips, and issuing receipts.
- **Client Data Management**: Maintain accurate client records, including contact information, preferences, and service history.
- **Product Sales & Promotion**: Promote salon services, products, and packages to clients; assist with sales transactions and provide product recommendations.
- **Maintain Cleanliness & Organization**: Ensure the reception area, waiting room, and retail displays are clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.
- **Team Support**: Assist stylists, estheticians, and other staff members with administrative tasks, client preparation, and maintaining the overall flow of salon operations.
- **Handling Complaints**: Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns in a professional manner, escalating issues to the manager when necessary.
**Qualifications & Skills: Education & Experience**:
- University diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in hospitality, customer service, or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a receptionist or customer service role, ideally in the beauty or salon industry, is preferred.
- Familiarity with salon booking systems and point-of-sale (POS) systems is highly advantageous.

**Working Conditions**:
- Full-time or part-time position, with shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

- May require standing for extended periods and occasional light physical tasks such as restocking products or cleaning.
