Coordinator - Maternity & Childcare Services

Dubai, United Arab Emirates NMC Healthcare Full time

Prepare cost estimates for various out-patient and in-patient cases and coordinate with billing Department.
- Assist the Insurance Coordinator to source insurance approvals.
- Contact Insurance Companies for verbal **approvals **as required
- Review the In-Patient list and the Operating Theatre list to ensure an understanding of current approval status
- Provide expert advice on various insurance policies and coverage to external and internal clients
- Communicate effectively between doctors and Insurance Companies when further information is required.
- Maintain and update the approval log
- Coordinate with external and internal clients for approval-related information
- Update the Insurance Manager about any unusual denials/issues from Insurance Companies and provide recommendations for resolution
- Patients are pre-admitted as per pre-admission procedure Patients are informed of documentation required and relevant financial aspects, for admission
- Patient needs and condition is considered during admission process
- Responsible for the monitoring of departmental leave and ensures that it has been administered as per hospital policy.
- Reports prepared as needed
- Other Administrative duties performed as required
- Making duty roster for emergency front office staff
- To provide Orientation about the Unit for the new joined, at the time of joining
- Provide necessary support to ensure that patient registration process is in order.
- Operational/administrative management all staff
- Ensure patient access to care is monitored on continuous basis
- Provide leadership and operational assistance to all within the E.R Strategic plans to be developed
- and implemented for the E.R
- Monitor disallowances and report as per the set standards
- Ensure quality accreditation standards are met and maintained.
- Client expectations are determined and met
- Handling all complain in emergency department and coordinate with P.R.O department

- Preferably a college graduate in any discipline.
- Minimum 3-year experience as a receptionist or administrative role in a patient focused environment
- Must have an exceptional interpersonal skill, maturity, good judgment and be capable of communicating in a professional manner with diverse range of individuals; superior phone etiquette skills
- Patient focused; service oriented; patient & understanding.
- Efficient organizational skills: ability to handle multiple responsibilities under pressure while maintaining composure
- Reliable, punctual, dependable, and responsive.
- Excellent command of oral and written English. Arabic language advantageous/desirable but not essential.
