**ACCOUNTANT**

**Role**

To perform financial functions related to the collection, accuracy, recording, analysis and reporting of financial data. The Accounts Assistant is responsible to work closely with one or multiple accountants. Their duties typically include maintaining ledgers, assisting vendors, preparing and distributing checks, handling cash and invoices, making phone calls, and basic bookkeeping.

**Specific Roles and Responsibilities**

**Results Focus**
- Providing support to the Accounting Department
- Performing basic office tasks, such as filing, data entry, answering phones, processing the mail, etc.
- Processing transactions, issuing checks, and updating ledgers, budgets, etc.
- Management of petty cash transactions as required
- Receive, verify and post invoices into the accounting system and ensure accuracy of compliance with company policies.
- Posting of Bank and Cash transactions into accounting software.
- To Reconcile accounts payable transactions and vendor statements.
- To Reconcile Intercompany ledger and statements.
- To Prepare accounts payable reports and assist in month-end closing processes. (e.g Payable ageing)
- To assist with audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed.

- Develop detailed product knowledge
- Be fully committed and dedicated to personal development and growth, working toward the achievement of performance targets on agreed periodic basis

**Knowledge Management**
- Ensuring all processes and procedures within the accounts team are captured and are well documented and updated on a regular basis
- Ensures all paperwork is kept in meticulous order and correctly executed within the operational units, complying with all management information and reporting requests and in compliance with legal/regulatory standards/requests
- Ensures that all documentations are up to date

**Technology Management**
- Ensures that the team use only the hardware and software systems as provided by the Company for all communications, information and data storage purposes
- Ensure Quality Standards set are adequately followed and a culture for the same is developed and maintained across all teams

**Confidentiality & Ethics**
- Ensure full compliance with the Company’s Confidentiality policy and Third-Party Non
- Solicitation policy which prohibits the sharing or discussion of sensitive information and the earning of fees through third party channels not connected with the Company;
- Protection of the Company at all times in relation to informational databases, IP, secrets and strategy, as well as sensitive information, all of which may not be discussed with any unauthorised person
- Ensure all sensitive client and Company information remains confidential and ensure this culture is built across the Branch
- Ensure any unethical behaviour of any team member is quickly brought to the attention of Senior Management, so that it may be appropriately addressed.

**Pre-requisites**
- Associate degree in related field
- 2-4 years of experience in hotels/restaurants/customer service - preferred
- Valid UAE License - Preferred
- Well-acquainted with QuickBooks. Not necessarily an expert.
- Character requirements

- Courteous, Respectful & Polite
- Excellent attention to detail, observation and memory
- Excellent face-to-face and telephone communication skills
- Ability to handle significant stress and pressure
- A good listener, and able to consider all information
- Flexible and willing to work long hours
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office package -Word, Excel and Power Point

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
