Treasure Pots is an up and coming new pottery studio set to open in Al Quoz 2, in December 2024.
- **Responsibilities/Requirements**:

- Trade test certification is required
- Freelance or in house ( salary would vary)
- Must have fire safety training, customer service/soft skills and First aid however if not, then that can be provided by the company.
- Potter/ceramic artist will also be required to carry out yearly training sessions for all staff on the maintenance and safety when using a kiln, even though the potters/ceramic artists are the only members of staff that are permitted to use the kilns, this is simply a precaution.
- Strong interpersonal skills are essential, especially when interacting with clients of all ages
- Ability to work effectively in group settings is necessary
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and utilizing manual tools is required
- High level of artistic skill is necessary
- Stamina and endurance are essential for this role
- Expertise in clay preparation, recycling, hygiene maintenance, design, glazing, kiln firing, quality control, and studio management is required.
- As a ceramic artisan/potter, you will typically work with various types of blueprints and manual tools to bring your artistic creations to life. Blueprints in the context of pottery may refer to design sketches, patterns, or templates that outline the shape, size, and details of the ceramic pieces you intend to create. These blueprints serve as a guide for your work and help you visualize the final product before starting the crafting process.
- When it comes to manual tools, ceramic artists and potters use a wide range of equipment to sculpt, shape, and refine clay into intricate forms. Some common manual tools used in ceramics include:

- Potter's Wheel: A rotating wheel used to shape and mold clay into symmetrical forms such as bowls, vases, and cups.
- Clay Knives and Cutters: Sharp tools used for cutting and shaping clay with precision.
- Rolling Pins: Tools for flattening and smoothing out clay to prepare it for shaping.
- Ribs and Scrapers: Tools with curved or straight edges used to refine and shape clay surfaces.
- Loop Tools: Cutting tools with a looped end, ideal for sculpting and detailing clay.
- Modeling Tools: Versatile tools with various tips for molding, sculpting, and creating textures on clay.
- Kiln Tools: Equipment for loading and unloading ceramic pieces into the kiln for firing.
- These manual tools play a crucial role in the ceramic-making process, allowing artisans and potters to transform raw clay into functional or decorative pieces of art. Mastery of these tools, along with a keen understanding of blueprints and design concepts, will enable you to bring your creative vision to fruition in the form of unique and beautifully crafted ceramic works.
- Wil be required to make ceramic items for ‘ready to paint’ purposes for clients who only wish to paint ceramics and not make them themselves. This may be done twice or three times a month.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
