**Talented Part-time Online Math and Science Teachers**
**Grades 6-12**

**Position Description**

Ideal position for a talented and enthusiastic Math and Science teacher looking to earn a supplemental income. We leverage technology so there's no lesson planning and mínimal to no grading

Our online Math and Science teacher is responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where students can fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and psychological growth. Our Math and Science Teacher is responsible ensuring our online students gain the skills and confidence to thrive in Math and Science.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Our science teacher will be available 3 hours per day, Monday -Thursday, to review student assignments, quizzes and exams and deliver written feedback. **Minimal to no grading is required.**
- Develop a friendly and supportive connection with each student. Foster relationships where students know they are supported and feel safe seeking assistance.
- Facilitates live classes, small group classes and interactive activities to middle school and high school students. Class will contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in purposeful learning experiences.
- Collaborates with Success Manager to modify instruction to meet the needs of the students with differentiated learning needs.
- Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis.
- Models professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community.
- Develops strategies and action plans for struggling students
- Establishes and maintains a cooperative working relationships with students, parents, and ADVANTAGES Middle East management and staff.

**Teacher Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience or a Master’s Degree
- Online teaching experience using a LMS platform
- Knowledge of students in a distance-learning environment
- Operational knowledge of the Internet and web-related technologies

- Works independently with little direct supervision
- Works as part of a team
- Accepts responsibility and is self-motivated
- Demonstrates strong work ethic to achieve school goals
- Displays effective multi-tasking and time management skills

**Role and Responsibility**
- Successful will have designated "Office Hours" for 2 hours per day, 2 days a week to work directly with students.

**Working Hours**
- Monday - Thursday: 3 Hours per day - Hours Negotiable
- Friday Mornings: Admin Day: 2 hours of flex time (Mandatory meetings two Fridays per month)
