- Plans, supervises, and performs all phases of installation, maintenance, repair and inspection of electrical systems and service work in new or remodeled facilities. Performs cost estimates and projections for electrical projects; reviews and upgrades electrical systems; evaluates electrical procedures; meets with design engineers to ensure electrical needs are met; reviews electrical and contract specifications and performance criteria.
- Solicits and evaluates bids from private contractors; recommends and coordinates bid selections; writes purchase requests; interprets electrical blueprints; hires and trains staff; schedules and adjusts workload and evaluates performance; orders and maintains electrical parts.1. Supervision and Leadership
- Lead, supervise, and manage a team of electricians and electrical apprentices, ensuring high standards of workmanship.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members, providing guidance and ensuring that work is completed efficiently and safely.
- Monitor the progress of electrical installation work and adjust resources or schedules as needed to meet deadlines.
- Electrical Installation and Setup
- Oversee the installation of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, HVAC systems, and other electrical infrastructure.
- Ensure that electrical wiring, panels, switchboards, and other systems are installed in accordance with technical drawings, specifications, and local electrical codes.
- Safety and Compliance
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure the team adheres to electrical safety standards and practices to prevent accidents.
- Conduct daily safety checks and ensure all work is in compliance with regulatory requirements and building codes (e.g., NEC).
- Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of electrical materials.
- Quality Control and Inspections
- Perform inspections of the electrical installations to ensure work quality and adherence to specifications and codes.
- Identify and address any issues or deficiencies in electrical work, ensuring corrections are made promptly.
- Ensure all electrical systems are properly tested and commissioned before handover.
- Coordination with Other Trades
- Collaborate with other foremen and trades on the construction site, such as plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical, to ensure smooth integration of electrical systems.
- Attend and participate in project meetings to discuss progress, issues, and schedules, and ensure the team is aligned with project goals.
- Material Management and Inventory
- Ensure that all required electrical materials and tools are on-site and properly stored.
- Monitor inventory and report any material shortages or needs to the project manager.
- Coordinate with suppliers and ensure timely deliveries of electrical components.
- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving
- Provide guidance and support to electricians when technical issues arise, offering solutions to problems encountered during installation or testing.
- Ensure that electrical work is completed on schedule by identifying and addressing potential delays.
- Training and Development
- Mentor and train junior electricians and apprentices, fostering skill development and safety awareness.
- Ensure that the team follows best practices and stays up to date with industry standards and technological advancements.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Sharjah: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (preferred)

**Experience**:

- electrical foreman in high rise building: 5 years (preferred)
